Upon joining you will have a decent set of starter items and a super potion (recommended you use this if you don't have a house by nightfall).

To find a place to call home you can either use /wild (or the corresponding button on the main menu) or simply run out of spawn and start exploring

If you need any items you can either buy them from other players or from the ingame shop.
