We accentuate community and vanilla/trade based economy. Every member is treated with equal fairness and respect. Our #1 rule is don't be a jerk. We despise hackers or xrayers, as they ruin the game for everyone else.

We also minimize server load to make the game as LAG FREE as possible.

We have a large team of moderators who have been selected due to their exemplary performance. Moderators are not OP, but can ban and protect homes with WorldGuard for players. Players may protect chests with LWC. All decisions are made by the community on our forums. We also have a Ventrilo server.

This community has been around for 3 years now, and many of the older players have been around for over 2 years. The community emigrated from a server called 'MinecraftSquare' to The Square Miner in January of 2013.

The owner has promised that if ever the map gets reset it will be available for download.

We have weekly events, many of which are unique to this server. Events include spleefing, PvP tournaments, Gold v Chain, Tactician's Guild, Zombie Town, RFW, Pig Jousting, Timelapses (coming soon), and more!)

We try to minimize Bukkit plugins to prevent lag: CommandHelper, Essentials, EssentialsChat, EssentialsSpawn, LWC, PermissionsBukkit, PlayerCount, Transporter, WorldEdit, WorldGuard
