Backstory: Date {1E 129}: After the nords freed themselves from the dragons they were left to rebuild civilization. Harald the soon to be high king of skyrim is age 16. The holds are in a touchy feud, trying to elect a high king, only to cause battle and treachery.

The Holds/Factions:

Markarth - Banner
Advantage:
History: Markarth was the former city of Nchuand-Zel, belonging to the ancient Dwemer(also known as the Dwarves) who resided in Morrowind, Skyrim, Hammerfell and High Rock during the Merethic Era and First Era
Description: Markarth is one of the major cities in Skyrim. The city is located in the far west of Skyrim, in the mountains of The Reach, west of theKarth River. As a result the city has a good natural defense, even from the skies. Being a long distance from any other major city and with both main roads cutting through mountains, valleys and rugged terrain, traveling to and from Markarth is one of the most treacherous trips for travelers. The city is split by a large running river and comprises of two parts: Riverside, where the native reachmen and the working district are found; and the Dryside, housing all the houses of Nord nobles and Silver-Blood ownership. The Jarl's palace, Understone Keep, is located at the top of the city and contains the Hall of the Dead, the Dwemer Museum, and the Nchuand-Zel Excavation Site where the internal part of the old Dwemer city remains in ruins. Most of the city's residents tend to be quite unfriendly to outsiders.

Whiterun - Banner
Advantage: Trade
History: Whiterun is located on the eastern end of its Hold, in the tundra plains that fills the center of Skyrim. It was founded by Jeek of the River,[1] who was the captain of Jorrvaskr.[1]Upon discovery of the Skyforge, he and his men constructed the great mead hall of Jorrvaskr, which at the time was the sole structure on the bluff. Now, Whiterun is a large city, albeit one that retains the feel of a smaller Nord village. The central location and easy access make it one of the most successful cities in trade.
When approaching Whiterun, the towering fortress of Dragonsreach dominates the view. Its history can be traced back to the First Era, when King Olaf One-Eye subdued the great dragon Numinex in a legendary duel of Thu’ums atop Mount Anthor, and brought him back to the fledgling town as a captive. It was then that the magnificent keep was rebuilt and renamed to serve as a cage for Numinex, whose head still adorns the Great Hall.

Description: Whiterun is a city in central Skyrim, and the capital of the Whiterun Hold. It is divided into three districts: the Plains District, used as a marketplace where all the merchants, stalls and inns are located; the Wind District, used as a residential area; and the Cloud District, where the palace of Dragonsreach is located. The Gildergreen tree, grown from a sapling from the legendary Eldergleam, is an ancient tree located in the city, worshipped by followers of Kynareth.

Falkreath
Advantage: Farming and Hunting
History: Early Nords, called, Men-of-'Kreath, were a tribe mentioned in The Adabal-a that migrated from Atmora to Skyrim, as the Nedes moved to the ice island from Tamriel.[1] While part of the Colovian conglomerate, the Men-of'Kreath were an independent tribe own; it is also possible that the Colovians too were a group of separate tribes who later found the kingdoms ofChorrol, Skingrad, Kvatch and Anvil, before the unification of Cyrodiil.[1] Thus, they were most likely a North Colovian tribe living in the area of modern Falkreath. This is likely, as Falkreath has been historically considered a part of Colovia, not Skyrim.[1] The Men-of-'Kreath evidently spoke a Colovian dialect unique form the other tribes, believed to contain some Aldmeris words. But, many Nedic tribes, especially in Cyrodiil and Hammerfell, were enslaved by the Ayleids.[1]
