In Prison, you start off as a low ranking prisoner on the server. The objective is to work your way up through the prison ranks, until you can break free. You do this by using warps to access special mining areas where you can gather resources and sell them at the prison shop. The higher rank you are, the more valuable materials you are able to mine.

To keep the game interesting, there are often a set of prison rules which selected players, called Guards, enforce. Prison rules can be broken, but only if you are very careful. If a Guard catches you, you could face a long isolation in solitary confinement or worse, execution! However, if you are successful, breaking prison rules can bring about many benefits to your progression in escaping the prison.

Once you are able to buy your freedom, you can enter the game world, where you can fight in a Factions-style combat system. Be careful not to die though, you may have to begin again!

OP Prison servers are the same gamemode but all items are supplied with overpowered stats, therefore making it much easier to escape from the Prison. It is recommended for players who find Prison too difficult or don't want to spend a long time grinding to reach the top level.
